Summary
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a licensed mental health professional (LCSW, LMSW) for the Child Psychiatry Access Network (CPAN) and Perinatal Psychiatry Access Network (PeriPAN). This role supports pediatric and perinatal health clinicians through real-time consultation services and oversees key clinical and operational functions for the program.
The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical mental health services, preferably with children, adolescents, or perinatal populations.
Job Duties
- Provides clinical consultation support to pediatric primary care providers, including:
- Real-time “curbside” consultations for behavioral health concerns.
- Guidance on behavioral plans for common childhood and adolescent mental health concerns.
- Navigation supports mental health referrals based clinical need, insurance, location, and wait times.
- Collaborates with child and perinatal psychiatrists to offer timely psychiatric consultation when needed.
- Utilizes clinical expertise to determine when to involve psychiatry or other clinical disciplines.
- Ensures high-quality, responsive service across all calls and consultations.
- Troubleshoots clinical issues for programs.
- Works with the Medical Director and operational leads to implement best practices and maintain compliance with state and institutional policies.
- Coordinates clinical documentation workflows and ensure timely and complete records.
- Provides therapist coverage support when needed to maintain program continuity.
- Monitors and reports on program performance; develop and present reports for internal stakeholders, COSH, and state partners.
- Leads coordination of internal CPAN and PeriPAN meetings, including agendas, project planning, and follow-up.
- Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance clinical and administrative efficiency.
- Manages operational and administrative issues for the program.
- Maintains and creates program processes and workflow.
- Maintains administrative tasks for team and program.
- Offers clinical oversight to LMSWs and LPCs providing consultation services.
- Leads clinical staff meetings to review cases, treatment plans, and team caseloads.
- Develops performance goals and professional development plans; conduct evaluations for team members.
- Serves as a key resource for exception reviews and decision-making support.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work.
- Four years of relevant experience.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (LCSW-S), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW-S).
Preferred Qualifications
- Supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience in behavioral consultation models.
- Experience with clinical program reporting.
