Summary
The Senior Coordinator, Research Administration in the Center for Research Advancement will work closely with the Director of FP&A, and the Grants Management team to support the daily research, grants and contracts programs and activities. The position will be responsible for providing business, administrative, and grant post award operations support.
This position requires an individual who is highly organized, adheres to deadlines, is able to multi-task handling multiple deadlines and communicating issues appropriately.
Job Duties
- Performs and oversees the daily post award operations including managing budget control processes associated with Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, and Check Request for the Center for Research Advancement (CRA) supported division and research projects.
- Processes sub-award purchase orders and invoicing for CRA supported divisions (20) for grants and research projects through Jaggaer.
- Assist with the grant close out process. Reviews and reconciles outstanding Purchase Orders on terminating grant projects and accounts. Processes final payments for closure.
- Processes Contract and Independent Contractor Agreements in Jaggaer. Communicates issues and delays with responsible parties.
- Processes Jaggaer and Concur transactions for grant related purchases, reimbursement, and travel.
- Clincard (clinical trial payments) management/distribution for CRA supported program, Endocrine, Psychology, Academic General, Public Health, Gastroenterology, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and Epidemiology.
- Processes and manages CRA service center invoicing process. Reviews and reconciles service center account.
- Submits JV and Account Receivable requests in SAP to ensure grant expenses are properly allocated.
- Coordinates ordering of research supplies and payment of associated invoices.
- Acts as central point of contact between CRA leadership, CRA supported divisions, and external customers and sub awardees (i.e. TCH, other academic institutions).
- Coordinates research related transactions within the CRA as needed, liaising with central departments at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital.
- Provides additional operational support to division leadership as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree.
- Prior Accounts Payable, Accounting, Purchasing, and bookkeeping experience.
