Summary
Temple, TX - The School of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Coordinator, Curriculum to provide comprehensive administrative support to Ambulatory Rotation. This position works with a high level of autonomy, must exercise discretion with high volumes of complex, confidential information, and must demonstrate a proven ability to independently manage multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines. The position works independently, but will also interact directly with the Clerkship directors, faculty and preceptors to facilitate academic activities during the clinical phase of the curriculum and is the first point of contact for students on rotation. This role is instrumental in administratively supporting operations to satisfy accreditation standards.

Job Duties
• Manages operational activities to ensure program objectives and accreditation requirements are met.
• Collaborates with the clerkship director to plan, operate, and evaluate student experiences.
• Oversees the distribution and collection of medical student evaluations
• Participates in the recruitment and onboarding of prospective clinical preceptors.
• Coordinates assignment, scheduling and reporting of student experiences in all phases of the clerkship.
• Proctors high stakes exams for medical education students
• Prepares, distributes, and communicates clerkship course schedules and materials to students and faculty.
• Updates and produces student Orientation packet materials.
• Secures and coordinates instructional space for physical and virtual meetings and events.
• Administratively supports the course directors/program coordinators.
• Manages the various system applications utilized in medical education departments (i.e. Blackboard, Excel, Learning Management Systems, etc.).
• Provides course/program materials and documentation on matters relating to education courses.
• Interacts with course/program directors to facilitate course/program objectives.
• Performs critical tasks related to the annual review processes in collaboration with course/program directors.
• Collaborates with the Evaluation, Assessment, and Educational Research team for assessment and quality improvement in obtaining, distributing, and archiving student evaluations.
• Implements and coordinates the Ambulatory Rotation including various activities within the rotation
• Serves as a resource to students in resolving scheduling and preceptor challenges.
• Thoroughly understands the curricular goals, policies, and standards of the rotation, department, and medical school.
• Identifies opportunities to improve effectiveness and mobilize faculty, staff, and resources to support the delivery of a high-quality educational experience
• Serves as the back-up administrator for one or more medical school subcommittees.
• May manage multiple education programs.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking and managing data efficiently.
- Adaptable and open to training in various Learning Management Systems (LMS).
