Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Summary

Temple, TX - The Senior Coordinator, Business Operations provides administrative and business operations support to the School of Medicine Admissions Office across both the Houston and Temple campuses. In addition, this position supports admissions leadership and staff with event planning and coordination, calendar management, purchasing, travel coordination, and other administrative functions. The position requires strong organizational, communication, teamwork, and Microsoft Excel skills, with an emphasis on coordinating and supporting the operational needs of a multi-campus admissions program.

 

This position is potentially hybrid after an initial in office period at the Temple Campus.

Job Duties

  • Provides administrative and operational support to Admissions leadership and staff across the Houston and Temple campuses, including calendar management, meeting coordination, correspondence, and special projects.
  • Manages a high volume of daily department emails and telephone inquiries, responding to routine questions, directing requests to appropriate staff, and providing timely information to applicants, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinates domestic travel through Concur and processes purchase orders, expense reimbursements, and related financial documentation.
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes Admissions events held at the Temple Campus, managing event logistics from initial planning through completion, including scheduling, facility arrangements, vendor coordination, materials, communications, setup, and on-site support.
  • Develops Committee pictorials, presentations, flyers, newsletters, and other Admissions communications materials.
  • Maintains and organizes storage room supplies, monitors inventory levels, and coordinates replenishment of office and event materials to ensure supplies are readily available for daily operations and Admissions activities.
  • Provides administrative support to faculty and staff, troubleshoots shared office equipment, coordinates service requests.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous administrative support experience.
