Summary
The Division of Radiology is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Business Operations to perform advanced operational activities for the Department’s clinical services. The Senior Coordinator is responsible for all faculty’s credentialing, privileges and insurance enrollment and serves as a primary point of contact for department faculty and staff regarding credentialing and hospital privileges and other faculty support.
The Department of Radiology at Baylor College of Medicine has Affiliate Partnerships where our faculty radiologist are focused on providing quality patient care, education and research at Harris Health Systems ,CHI-Baylor St. Luke's, Texas Children's Hospital and Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center all located in the Texas Medical Center.
This position is located at Baylor College of Medicine's Main Campus, in the Radiology, Chair and Administration office.
Job Duties
- Manages Physician Credentialing and Enrollment.
- Serves as primary point of contact for Faculty provider credentialing.
- Responsible for communication of credentialing timelines and issues causing delays for on boarding to all stakeholders.
- Performs faculty providers credentialing and re-credentialing with Affiliated Facilities including public and private facilities.
- Coordinates with counterparts at Rad Partners in support of our affiliated partnership.
- Credentials and manages enrollment at both Practice Management groups, Baylor MedCare and Radiology Partners.
- Completes enrollment applications for Medicare and Medicaid with both practice groups. Participate in the bi-weekly RP enrollment meeting to ensure provider on-boarding and billing are setup.
- Maintains Faculty files with credentialing documentation, Provider IDs and Licensing files for 70-85 providers.
- Supports new faculty recruits with obtaining Texas License.
- Notifies faculty on requirements needed to maintain training compliance at all service locations and facilities.
- Coordinates with Risk Management office for Malpractice policies.
- Distributes and collects dosimetry Badges.
- Runs case log reports for providers.
- Coordinates Facilities, Telecom and IT requests for the business office.
- Manages incoming / outgoing faxes and mail.
- Maintains department Listservs, contact lists, etc.
- Answers department main line, on a rotation basis.
- Performs other job-related other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior credentialing experience.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, be regarded as a team player.
- Possess strong and proven organizational skills and have a personal drive to be their best.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel),OpenTempo or QGenda (or similar clinical scheduling software) strongly preferred.
- Previous work experience in an academic medicine environment.
