Summary

The Provenza Lab is looking for a motivated research technician to support data analysis efforts to understand neural activity underlying emotion and cognition. Primary roles include analyzing neural data synchronized with behavior to identify neural biomarkers of symptoms and clinical response after deep brain stimulation (DBS) for OCD and depression.

Job Duties

• Develops code to analyze neural data, video, and behavior from wearables.
• Evaluates neural data quality from at-home and in-clinic recordings
• Develops data visualization tools to display meaningful features.
• Assists with data collection, curation, and management.
• Generates written summaries of analytical findings.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
• No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Python and instrumentation is desired.
