Baylor College of Medicine, Section of Cardiovascular Research in Houston, Texas is searching for a Research Technician II for the Atherosclerosis Clinical Research Laboratory (ACRL). The potential candidate should enjoy working in a clinical laboratory setting with indirect supervision. Job Duties

• Prepares and conducts research experiments in a clinical laboratory setting
• Daily responsibilities will include sample processing, database entry, and routine sample analyses using ELISA, spectrophotometric and fluorometric assays.
• Documents results of experiments and prepares data reports for review by supervisor.
• Participates in ongoing Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures of the laboratory.
• Demonstrates proficiency in common software programs and an interest in operating laboratory instruments.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
• No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

•  Candidates with previous experience working in a CAP/CLIA accredited laboratory will be preferred.
