Summary
The Ray Lab is seeking a highly motivated individual to assist with experiments, animal management, and general lab duties. The Ray lab studies the neural circuits governing our behavior and physiology. We utilize automated assays for measuring behavior and physiology in genetic animal models as part of the path of discovery for patient based diagnostics and therapeutics.
Job Duties
- Rodent handling, husbandry and genotyping.
- Inventory, management and ordering of equipment, consumables and supplies.
- Ensuring compliance with national, state and local regulations.
- Data processing using Python and R studio.
- Use, maintenance, and troubleshoot of neonate physiology equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling lab mice or rats and working with genetically engineered lines, prior experience with basic laboratory techniques, including PCR or histology.
- Proficiency with productivity software including Microsoft Office and Adobe products, databases, and other management/organization software.
