Summary
This technician will primarily be responsible for searching through and curating existing laboratory data and performing analyses on the relevant data. The job will also involve literature searches and summarizing information in an appropriate format for a particular study. The job will involve selecting, evaluating, and applying techniques used in routine research.
Job Duties
- Searching through and curating data: most of the physiological data is stored on the laboratory databased and the job will involve finding specific datasets that fit specific requirements for further analysis.
- Performing analyses: the job will involve writing new code designed to test specific hypotheses in the existing data. This will involve removing artifacts and computing spectral power in band-resolved signals, within specific predefined frequency bands.
- Literature search: the job will involve reading relevant literature and knowing how to apply ideas expressed in that literature to the application of new data analysis problems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- statistical analysis/machine learning:
R: ggplot, dplyr - dimensionality reduction, differential tests (rank sum, ANOVA, t-tests, etc.)
Python: scikit-learn, matplotlib, pytorch, scipy - numerical analysis, optimization, neural network and classical ML model training
