Job Purpose

We are seeking a talented molecular biologist to join our young team. Our lab (www.stpierrelab.com; twitter: @StPierreLab) develops and applies new protein-based fluorescent biosensors for imaging cellular activity, with a focus on sensors for brain activity. We are looking for a motivated, organized, and resourceful scientist with expertise in molecular cloning to accelerate our efforts to build and disseminate tools of broad utility. The ability to properly document results is critical for this position. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop cutting-edge molecular technologies, learn new skills, and be part of an enjoyable workplace.

Job Responsibilties
  • Use molecular biology techniques for assembling new expression vectors and to construct large mutagenesis libraries.
  • Transfect plasmid libraries in mammalian cells and screen using our custom automated imaging platform.
  • Disseminate our tools to collaborating laboratories and follow up to get feedback/data on our tools.
  • Help managing projects and the lab
