Summary
The Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a full-time Senior Clinical Research Associate for a non-laboratory research position. The individual hired will be responsible for providing research support on a research project related to bioethics and health policy.

Job Duties
- Contribute to the design of clinical trials focused on genomics and health outcomes.
- Help develop study protocols, including selection and justification of outcome measures.
- Assist in identifying appropriate study designs (e.g., pragmatic trials, crossover designs, implementation frameworks).
- Design, test, and implement patient-reported outcome (PRO) measures, surveys, and questionnaires.
- Support integration of survey tools into electronic platforms (e.g., REDCap, Qualtrics).
- Coordinate study activities across multiple research sites and collaborators.
- Help manage project timelines and deliverables.
- Oversee IRB submissions, protocol amendments, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Track and report project progress to investigators, funders, and stakeholders.
- Assist with data collection (survey data, clinical outcomes, implementation outcomes).
- Perform data quality checks and ensure adherence to data management protocols.
- Conduct quantitative data analysis of outcomes.
- Summarize findings for manuscripts, reports, and presentations.
- Work closely with clinical investigators, social scientists, statisticians, and genomic scientists.
- Support dissemination of findings to scientific, clinical, and lay audiences.
- Contribute to grant applications and study proposals.
- Draft sections of manuscripts, abstracts, and conference presentations.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (PhD, ScD, or DrPH) in outcomes research, health services research, epidemiology, implementation science, behavioral science, or related field or
Master’s degree (MPH, MS, MHS) in one of these areas with substantial research experience. - Knowledge of research methodology, psychometrics, and outcome measure validation.
- Proficiency with survey platforms (e.g., REDCap, Qualtrics) and data analysis software (e.g., R, SAS, STATA, NVivo, or equivalent).
- Strong project management skills, with ability to manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including scientific writing and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
