Job Purpose

Seeking postdoctoral associate to work on project focused on cancer biology and mitochondrial metabolism.

The position requires the ability to lead projects and work cooperatively with others, carry out and troubleshoot experiments, and assist in grant and manuscript writing. Candidate will have the opportunity to do both basic science and translational research as they work in a fast-paced research environment.

Job Responsibilties
  • Plans, directs and conducts specialized and advanced research experiments.
  • Evaluates and analyzes data.
  • May establish new research protocols and procedures.
  • Summarizes research findings and publish results in research journals.
  • May be responsible for laboratory operations.
  • May supervise research staff.
Minimum Qualifications

Education: Ph.D in basic science, health science, or a related field.

Experience: None required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in standard molecular & biological techniques, cell culture, and animal models.

  • The postdoctoral associate must be self-motivated and have a strong background in standard molecular and biological techniques, cell culture, and animal models.
  • Previous experience in breast cancer or mitochondrial biology is preferred, but not required. 
  • Postdocs with bioinformatics backgrounds that are looking to learn wet lab techniques are also encouraged to apply.
