Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join the Li Laboratory in the Section of Cardiovascular Research, Department of Medicine. Our lab investigates novel molecular mechanisms underlying atrial fibrillation and myopathy, cardiac conduction diseases, and inflammation-related cardiac diseases.
We utilize a multidisciplinary approach, including biochemistry, flow cytometry, single-cell transcriptomics, optical mapping, molecular cloning, and advanced phenotyping in transgenic mouse models. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment at the forefront of cardiovascular research.
Job Duties
- Organizes and implements complex research plans.
- Develops new methods and techniques.
- Conducts experiments, data collection, and analysis.
- Interprets data and write detailed scientific reports.
- Mentors graduate and undergraduate students.
- Presents research findings regularly to peers and at national and international meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD or MD/PhD degree received within the past 2 years.
- Experience in molecular biology, immunology, or cardiac phenotyping.
- Prior research experience in cardiovascular or immunological sciences.
