The Psychology Division in the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital are pleased to announce the immediate availability of an open-rank neuropsychology faculty position with specialization in Hematology/Oncology.

 

The neuropsychologist in this role will join a team of dedicated neuropsychologists, pediatric psychologists, and psychology learners providing evaluation and intervention services to patients of the Texas Children’s Cancer Center/Kinder Children’s Cancer Center at the Texas Children’s Hospital Houston Medical Center Campus. Kinder Children’s Cancer Center is a first-of-its-kind, joint venture between Texas Children’s Hospital and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center focused on ending childhood cancer. Clinical services will primarily include targeted and comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation, consultation, and limited inpatient evaluation. Consultation with multidisciplinary medical providers and learners will be expected. Training, innovation, program development, and clinical research are expected in this position.

This faculty neuropsychology position will involve teaching and supervision of neuropsychology post-doctoral fellows within our APPCN-member fellowship program and of interns in our APA- accredited internship program. About the Division of PsychologyThe Division of Psychology within the Department of Pediatrics includes more than 60 pediatric, clinical, and neuropsychologists practicing across subspecialty areas at Texas Children’s Hospital, providing care in both the inpatient and outpatient environments. BCM, our academic home, is also home to outstanding psychology training programs at the graduate, internship, and postdoctoral levels.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A doctorate degree in clinical, counseling, or school psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology from an APA or CPA approved program.
  • Completed an APA-accredited psychology internship
  • Completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology that complies with the training guidelines of APA Division 40
  • Licensure or license-eligibility in Texas
  • ABCN board certification or ABCN board eligibility
