Summary
The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Allergy & Immunology is currently seeking an Associate Professor to join its Immunology Service. Leadership opportunities within the Section and Service are available and will be dependent on expertise and field reputation.
Job Duties
- Provide safe, timely, effective, and efficient patient care at TCH Main Campus in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Provide clinical leadership to medical and nursing staff.
- Role model ethical and professional behavior with every interaction.
- Supervise and educate medical and nursing staff when appropriate in the care of Immunology patients.
- Educate and supervise trainees including fellows, residents, medical students, and advanced practice practitioners.
- Partner closely with Clinical Leadership (TCH Practice Administrator and Nurse Managers) to create cohesive leadership for the A&I service.
- Review and understand patient safety issues and incidences; proactively work with leadership to resolve.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures and protocols for the A&I service.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD/DO or equivalent
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board
- Board certified/eligible in Allergy & Immunology
