Baylor College of Medicine and CHRISTUS Children's Department of Pediatrics seeks a pediatric cardiologist with expertise in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology. The individual will be joining the largest and an actively growing pediatric cardiology group in San Antonio. The Division is comprised of twelve providers and provides sub-specialty care in imaging and intervention. There is a modern infrastructure with capabilities to perform advanced interventional procedures including hybrid procedures.
CHRISTUS Children's, a world-class 240-bed freestanding children's hospital in San Antonio, serves as a focal point for pediatric services throughout the community. In 2013, CHRISTUS Health finalized an agreement partnering with Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) to recruit, employ, and oversee physicians and advanced practice providers at CHRISTUS Children's.

Summary
This position comes with a faculty appointment within the department of pediatrics, a competitive salary, and full benefits package. The candidates' credentials and experience will determine the rank of the academic appointment.
Job Duties
Clinical duties include inpatient, outpatient, and cardiac catheterization lab at CHRISTUS Children's. Faculty teaching responsibilities include direct clinical supervision of medical students, residents, and other students in related fields (e.g., nursing students, dietary students, pharmacy students), who observe the physician directly in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. This includes On-call duties for pediatric & congenital cardiology and cardiac catheterization lab and other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- M.D/DO. Degree or equivalent
- Related experience required.
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (or eligible for same).
- Must have completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology and be board certified (or eligible for same) in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics. Completion of an additional Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology is preferred.
