Summary
The Department of Medicine - Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine is seeking an Assistant Professor (Nocturnist) to serve in the medical intensive care unit at Baylor St. Luke's Hospital in the Texas Medical Center location.

Job Duties
- Provide direct critical care for patients in the Medical and Cardiac Critical Care Units.
- Actively participate in daily and weekly multidisciplinary rounds, collaborating with teams including Pharmacy, Case Management, Infection Prevention, Respiratory Therapy, and other disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.
- Perform and supervise critical care procedures, including but not limited to Bronchoscopy, Chest tube placement, Endotracheal intubation, Central and arterial line placement, Ultrasound-guided procedures etc.
- Supervise and mentor medical students, residents (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Anesthesia), fellows (Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine, Critical Care, and Anesthesia Critical Care), and Critical Care Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
- Participate in didactics and teaching sessions for medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to the academic mission of Baylor College of Medicine.
- As part of your schedule you will covering 12-nights a month, supervising house staff and APPs to ensure continuity and excellence in patient care during overnight shifts.

Minimum Qualifications
- Degree: M.D.
- Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine.
- Commitment to clinical excellence and a track record of excellent clinical performance.
- Scholarly enthusiasm.
