Job Title:  Intern/Aide
Division:  Molecular and Human Genetics
Work Arrangement:  Onsite only
Location:  Houston, TX
Salary Range:  Hiring up to $$15/hour
FLSA Status:  Nonexempt
Work Schedule:  Flexible

Summary

The intern will learn valuable wet and dry lab skills, get familiar with reading and assessing scientific literature and practice effective presentation skills. The intern will work alongside a bench mentor to assist in experiments, which they will have to analyze and present at lab meeting and to the PI. Intern/Aide with a broad interest in biology who are self-motivated and passionate about performing scientific research.

Job Duties

  • Assists in experiments.
  • Analyzes and presents at lab meeting and to the PI.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Has interest in biology who are self-motivated and passionate about performing scientific research.
