TCH Pathology is seeking a summer intern.

Job Purpose

Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.  

Job Duties

• Maintains bacterial inventory records and catalogs new strains.
• Updates databases and organize bacterial stocks for future integration into Texas Children's comprehensive biobank. 
• Helps in growing bacteria and making freezer stocks.
• Prepares standard solutions and simple culture media according to needs of specific bacterial growth requirements. 
• Helps with integrating experimental records into electronic lab notebooks.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education.
