Summary
Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center offers a paid summer internship program with learning opportunities within the research labs, administration, and psychosocial services. The program fosters the development of learners who have demonstrated an interest in pediatric hematology/oncology (PHO) or pediatric healthcare.
The Intern/Aide will support research studies in the Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Center. - database management - inventory management - chart review - sample processing.
1. Knowledge - gain general knowledge related to database/inventory management, chart review and sample processing.
2. Comprehension - understand key concepts related to research projects
3. Application - apply concepts learned to assist with current research projects.
Job Purpose
Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.
Job Duties
- Performs entry level administrative or laboratory duties.
- May observe tasks related to field of study or career interest.
- May assists with special projects/programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education.
