Summary
The student will be provided with scientific literature for review and weekly discussion. Additionally, I will provide a project for the student to complete, which will require learning molecular biology techniques (PCR, Western blotting, cell culture). The student will also learn how to analyze and present findings.
Job Purpose
Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.
Job Duties
- Attends lab meetings, department seminars, training sessions on molecular biology.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education.
