Summary
The Instructor in Radiology is a non-tenure-track faculty position that establishes the employee as a PI (Principal Investigator) making them eligible to submit their own grant applications. The Instructor has research and teaching responsibilities, with mentorship by senior faculty.
Job Duties
- Mentored Research: The Instructor performs research under the direction of a senior faculty member.
- Independent Research: The instructor performs research independently
- Teaching: The instructor teaches courses and provides educational lectures to the student/trainee community.
- Independent grant applications: The instructor submits grant applications as an independent PI.
- Supporting grant applications: The instructor participates in grant applications submitted by other PIs.
- Teach courses and provide lectures for the TCH Radiology Trainees (students, residents, fellows).
- Publish peer-reviewed articles in relevant journals.
- Present work at relevant meetings.
- Contribute to intellectual property development.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in a field relevant to Radiology.
- At least 4 years of experience in Biomedical Research including during Doctoral work.
- Track record of publications in fields relevant to Biomedical Research.
- Demonstration of intent to establish an independent research program, by submission of a summary of research directions the instructor will pursue.
