Job Purpose


The Institutional Research Analyst will compile, analyze and convert data from reporting units across the College into actionable information, reports and other products for internal and external users, including academic accrediting bodies. The Office of the Provost at Baylor College of Medicine seeks a self-driven professional to support high-priority, data-driven processes related institutional outcomes assessment, educational research, evaluation and educator development. She or he will report to the Associate Provost of Faculty Development and Institutional Research, and will work closely with the Assistant Director of Institutional Outcomes Assessment.

Job Responsibilities


  • Supports the Provost’s Office in maintaining a systematic, College-wide outcomes assessment process.
  • Works directly with programs, schools and offices across the College to ensure their annual outcomes assessment reports are completed on time and are compliant with Baylor and accreditor requirements.
  • Collaborates with members of the Provost’s Office to manage, analyze and apply outcomes assessment data to reports, spreadsheets or other products that inform institutional decision-making.
  • Assists in the design and administration of institution-wide surveys of students and faculty.
  • Creates reports, data summaries, slide decks or other products to summarize and communicate survey results and other data.
  • Supports the collection, management and analysis of evaluation data for the Offices of Faculty Development and Institutional Research.
  • Maintains records and generate documentation for regional accreditation.
  • Helps design and conduct meetings, educational sessions and workshops on outcomes assessment, institutional research or other related topics.
  • Provides user training for the Nuventive Improve outcomes assessment reporting system.
  • Contributes data analysis and discussion to publications, presentations or other scholarly products generated by the Offices of Faculty Development and Institutional Research.
Minimum Qualifications


  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Required: Three years of relevant experience.
