Summary

The Scott Department of Urology seeks a fully trained, Board-eligible urologist who will have completed an ACGME-accredited urology residency, as well as fellowship training in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery/Men's Health by July 2025. The candidate will participate in expanding the capabilities of the Urology department to provide care in the Houston community outside the Texas Medical Center - for this recruitment, focusing on the Sugarland area and the St. Luke's Sugarland Hospital of Common Spirit Health.

 

The candidate will practice a broad range of general, community urology, in addition to developing the subspecialty practice of Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery/ Men's Health, in the local and regional community.

Job Duties

  •  Develop and implement plans to ensure comprehensive, timely, and high-quality patient care services with maximum operating efficiency.
  •  Participate in college, hospital, and community outreach activities to promote the Department, Division, and BCM. 
  • Ensure safe and effective patient care by adhering to policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and practice accuracy.
  • Promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency
  •  Support department-based goals that contribute to the success of the organization.
  • Serve as preceptor, mentor, and resources to less experienced faculty, staff, and learners.
  • Attend required department, college, and hospital professional meetings.
  •  Works collaboratively with faculty and staff in the Baylor Medicine Center.
  • See patients in Baylor Medicine remote locations in the Sugarland area.
  • Taking hospital calls.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Medical degree from an accredited medical school. 
  •  Completion of an ACGME-accredited urology residency training.
  •  Completion of a fellowship training in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery/Men's Health.
  • Board Certified/Eligible.
  • License to practice medicine in the State of Texas.

  • Expertise in and desire to provide care for patients with general urologic conditions, and male reproductive medicine and surgery/men's health.
