The Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking an exceptional plastic surgeon for a full-time faculty position in the Division of Plastic Surgery at the academic rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will join a team of plastic surgeons with the focus of this position's clinical practice at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center. 


The 230 members of the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery, ranked 13th by the U.S. News & World Report for departments of surgery, practice at iconic institutions within the Texas Medical Center and in the greater Houston Metropolitan area. The Department trains over 130 residents and fellows annually, including trainees in the only NRMP-listed residency track in global surgery. Our department Office of Surgical Research comprises 70 research specialists managing 350 grants and active clinical studies supported by $20 million in extramural funding annually.

Job Duties

The applicant should possess exceptional clinical skills and expertise in plastic surgery and have a keen interest to contribute to our educational and innovative research programs. The successful candidate will join a highly skilled multidisciplinary team of clinicians and researchers focused the management of breast conditions including breast cancer.

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate must be board certified or board eligible and qualify for medical licensure in the state of Texas.
