The recruited individual will be a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor (non-tenure) in the Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy. The individual should be able to apply and be granted an unrestricted Texas medical license.



Job duties include:


  • Support the podiatry practice at Baylor Clinic and Baylor-St. Luke's Hospital aimed at the management of diabetic foot and wound care and excluding complex ankle and major reconstructions including but not limited to charcot reconstructions and subtalar fusion.
  • Assist in the development of limb salvage/diabetic foot service.
  • Render professional care and services to patients in accordance with accepted standards of care for the podiatric profession and within the following scope of practice.
  • Treat wounds and most venous stasis ulcers of the foot and ankle.
  • Work in collaboration with other BCM specialties including, but not limited to - Orthopedics. Sports Medicine, PT, PM&R, and Medicine.
  • Obtain detailed history and perform physical examinations.
  • Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic procedures in accordance with relevant health concerns of the patient.
  • Prescribe appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.
  • Maintain records and write orders and progress notes in patient charts as to status, treatments, and procedures.
  • Monitor and ensure accuracy of recording on patient medical records.
  • Provide follow-up health maintenance care to patients.
  • Communicate with other physicians, patients, and the family members of matters concerning patient care.
  • Collaborate with other providers, and practice staff in identifying appropriate patients for care management.
  • Provide call-coverage alongside two other podiatrists.
