Job Title:  Supervisor, Maintenance and Repairs
Division:  Facility Services
Work Arrangement:  Onsite only
Location:  Houston, TX
Salary Range:  $70,618 - $83,080
FLSA Status:  Exempt
Work Schedule:  Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Summary

The Supervisor, Maintenance and Repairs, oversees daily maintenance operations, manages the stockroom, and ensures all preventive maintenance activities are executed on schedule. This role supports equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and maintains an organized inventory system that keeps the facility running smoothly.

Job Duties

Maintenance Oversight

  • Lead and coordinate daily maintenance and repair activities, ensuring timely response to equipment issues and facility needs.

Preventive Maintenance

  • Develop, schedule, and monitor preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.

Stockroom Management

  • Oversee inventory control, including parts ordering, stocking, cycle counts, and vendor coordination.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise maintenance staff, assign work orders, provide training, and ensure adherence to safety and operational procedures.

Work Order Administration 

  • Review, prioritize, and close work orders; maintain accurate records in the maintenance management system. 

Safety Compliance

  • Enforce safety protocols, conduct inspections, and support continuous improvement in workplace safety.

Equipment Monitoring

  • Track equipment performance, identify recurring issues, and recommend corrective actions or upgrades. 

Vendor Coordination

  • Work with external contractors for specialized repairs, service agreements, and equipment procurement. 

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Department Specific Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Texas driver's license and meet Baylor College of Medicine's driving eligibility requirements, including a clean driving record and a minimum of three years of U.S. driving history.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
