Title: Student Helper
Summary
The OB/GYN Department is seeking a Student Helper in metagenomics and bioinformatics for the duration of the summer.
Job Duties
- Analyzes, from raw sample processing to final data analysis and data projection, multi'omics data sets inclusive of metagenomics WGS sequence data and 16S amplicon sequencing data, transcriptomics, and metabolomics.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate student completing a degree program in quantitative data sciences as applied to biosciences or other similar or related fields.
- Background in Python programming and R computing.
- The candidate will ideally have a good knowledge base of the principles of statistics and experience in statistical programming.
- Experience in benchtop molecular biology techniques such as ELISAs, PCRs, nanodrop, and other techniques is preferred.
