The Office of Surgical Research within the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery is seeking a part-time Student Helper to assist with clinical research related to translation of innovations from engineering to various clinical applications. The candidate will benefit from an excellent interdisciplinary environment at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Medical Center with interdisciplinary collaboration with other institutions including Rice, BenTaub, MD Anderson, and VA Houston. He/she could contribute in promoting population health and wellbeing and transform personalized care and smart care delivery across patient population.

Job Duties

  • Assist faculty and investigators at the Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Surgery, interdisciplinary Consortium for Advanced Motion Performance (iCAMP) with patient recruitment, data entry, chart review, and dissemination of results including manuscript preparation. 
  • Assist with collection of clinical and investigational human performance assessments within iCAMP and worldwide. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
  • No experience.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to speak Spanish is a plus.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to work well with little supervision.
