Job Purpose

This position is available for a student seeking summer internship opportunities. The Internship will provide an opportunity for the student to work closely with a PhD candidate in the lab of Dr. Benjamin Deneen in order to improve technical skills while being given a developmental opportunity in a professional laboratory setting.

Work is performed under general supervision and reviewed through observation while in progress and results obtained upon completion. The work will be completed under mentorship by a graduate student who is funded independently through an F31 fellowship as well as R01 funding support provided by the PI. The aim of the research projects seek to improve understanding of malignant brain tumors and how they progress in human disease. This research is executed using a combination of basic molecular biology techniques as well as in vivo mouse models of brain tumors.

Job Duties

Responsible for one or more of the following duties:

  • Provide office administrative support.
  • Provide research administrative or technical support.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
