Summary

The Baylor Teen Health Clinic currently provides pregnancy testing, family planning, sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and HIV/AIDS education and screening, primary healthcare, and case management services to teens, their partners, and adolescents in Harris County. The clinics provide services to teens from the age of 13-24.
 
Services We Provide:

  • Comprehensive Exams (Male & Female)
  • Gynecological services
  • Birth control and family planning
  • Sexually transmitted disease screening and treatment
  • Primary healthcare
  • Immunizations
  • HIV/AIDS education and screening
     

Job Purpose

Student Helpers provides services to a department on a temporary basis while gaining professional experience and to increase engagement with potential patients and community organizations to increase awareness of our clinic and our services.
 

Job Duties

  • Research and implement how to increase engagement with clients, potential clients and community members and organizations.
  • Collaborate via social media with health care and community resource organizations.
  • Develop and post entertaining content for social media on a consistent manner.

          o  Graphics and captions
          o  Videos and captions (film videos)

  • Develop and post Instagram Ads.
  • Engage BTHC clinic staff in social media posts, as necessary.
  • Develop and post educational content for social media with medical input.
  • Develop and implement Instagram Highlights.
  • Respond to Instagram DMs (answer basic questions and refer to other clinic staff as needed (for example, medical related questions).
  • Work with us with our UH group each semester.
  • Track social media analytics and adjust strategy in response.
  • Notify BTHC leadership with any negative feedback and comments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
  • No Experience is Required.

Preferred Qualifications

Extensive familiarity and use of the various social media platforms.
