Job Purpose

The Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a part-time Student Helper (~10 hours/week) to provide research support in ethical, legal, and social implications (ELSI) of genomics.

Job Duties

  • Provide assistance with and contribute to a qualitative study of ELSI issues in forensic use of DNA. 
  • Help with qualitative data management to ensure quality and identify and address issues as they arise, including reviewing and editing transcripts for accuracy of data from qualitative interviews. 
  • Conduct literature searches and summarize information. 
  • Build reports based on findings for research team and collaborators.
  • Assist with preparation of papers and presentations for dissemination of findings.
  • Attend project meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
  • No experience required.
