Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a Clinical Recruiter or Senior Talent Acquisition Associate to focus on recruiting for a wide variety of clients in our clinical mission. This employee performs the full lifecycle recruitment process required to address the current and emerging workforce needs. They are responsible for intake calls, screening applicants, sourcing potential employees,and extending offers of employment to prospective employees. This is a fast paced and high volume role that often requires the recruiter to manage in excess of fifty or sixty open requisitions at any given time. It is expected that candidates have experience in this type of recruiting and a passion or interest in hiring the best clinical staff for our operation. You must have excellent communication skills and be very organized.

Job Purpose

Develops and manages talent acquisition and recruitment strategies at Baylor College of Medicine. Advises departments on employment laws.

Job Duties

  • Proactively establishes a pipeline of qualified and passive candidates through various sourcing techniques. Leverages applicant tracking system for all candidate workflow including applications, interviews, offers and onboarding.
  • Researches and understands current industry and recruitment trends; adept at using creative and cutting-edge ways to recruit.
  • Consults with assigned departments/clients on short and long-term recruiting strategies, while demonstrating and delivering superior customer service. Educates clients on the range of recruiting products and services available. Promotes utilization of full recruiting services.
  • Sources and evaluates talent for a range of roles.
  • Maintains relationships with past candidates for future opportunities.
  • Participates in special projects including: career fairs, on-campus recruiting, and summer programs.
  • Trains junior members of the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Recommends improvements to recruitment policies and procedures and system functionality.
  • Participates in system testing and upgrades to recruitment module; provides training to departments on recruitment module.
  • Generates reports from the Applicant Tracking System to monitor progress and prepare for upcoming new positions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource, Business, Basic Science.
  • 7+ years of full lifecycle recruiting experience, ideally in a professional services environment, with a mix of functional and technical roles.
  • Consulting and professional services experience.
  • Experience in contingency and/or retained search firm.
  • Passion for sourcing, screening, and introducing candidates to company culture and value proposition.
  • Excellent direct sourcing capabilities, including strong proficiency leveraging social media for candidate engagement.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills and abilities to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Consultative mindset and ability to anticipate client needs.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments with effective resolution of conflicting priorities.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities are required with extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
