Summary
The Reimer Lab studies sensory processing across different brain states and the mechanisms that control the gating and routing of information in the brain. We are seeking an individual with computational neuroscience experience to assist with writing software for processing and analysis of multimodal neural and behavioral data.
Job Duties
- Maintain the data processing pipeline software
- Expand workflows to support additional modalities or types of neural recordings
- Identify, implement, and validate appropriate data processing and analysis methods
- Assist in the code base needed to produce figures and analyses for publications and grant proposals
- Provide programming support for multiple projects in the lab, primarily via software written using Python and DataJoint, but potentially other languages including MATLAB and R
- May assist with providing help with training and support for other members of the lab who are in the process of learning to program
- Manage and contribute to a lab code base on GitHub and help implement uniform computing environments using Docker
- May help interface our acquisition and analysis code with new or existing software frameworks
- Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- Three years of relevant experience.
