Job Purpose

Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a motivated and experienced business analyst to join our SAP team to support our existing SAP landscape and play a key role in implementing SAP S/4.  The Senior Business Analyst will support the current functionality used in ECC for plant maintenance, asset management, and materials management, while being a key player in our S/4 implementation to design the future state solutions that will be used at BCM for years to come.  The Senior Business Analyst will assist in gathering business requirements, solving business challenges, investigating improved solutions, preparing specifications, testing, and deploying new features and functionality. The Senior Business Analyst must work with business users in a variety of departments in the College to provide on-going SAP support, training, and troubleshooting.  Able to serve as project leader, providing project management and task supervision, as needed over the course of the upcoming implementation.

 

Job Responsibilities
  • Supports business processes and SAP functionality in the areas of plant maintenance, materials management (inventory management and procurement), and project systems, including configuration.  SAP S4 HANA experience a plus.
  • Meets with customers in various departments of the College to discuss user requests and requirements.
  • Asks questions to clarify business requirements, determine system requirements, suggest improvements, and implement agreed solutions that meet customers’ needs
  • Prepares detailed program specifications for SAP ABAP Programmers as directed by discussions with end users that lead to effective solutions
  • Assists in creating test data in support of test plans and executes test plans as needed.
  • Identifies areas in which new or improved processes and/or standards would result in quality and/or efficiency improvements.
  • Actively engaged in the project to move to SAP S/4 – will support project team and consultants in designing new processes, configuring system, writing functional specifications, performing testing, and performing conversion and cutover tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
Experience:
  • Required: Three years of relevant experience.
Certification/Licenses/
Registration:
  • None required.
Preferred Qualifications

Three years of experience in SAP Business Analysis in the modules specified.

  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills, ability to recommend solutions that will deliver improvement.

  • Ability to turn stated business needs into SAP requirements, configuration, and program specifications.
  • Ability to collaborate with consultants and other team members to deliver high quality solutions.
  • Relevant SAP classes and certifications.
