Summary

The Senior Research Coordinator - Registered Dietician position is to support daily operations for the neonatal nutrition research team. The selected candidate will recruit, screen, enroll, and consent study participants. Overseeing and participating in research data collection and entry will also be required. 

Job Duties

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of infant nutrition-related research studies.
  • Maintain regulatory documentation for research studies and maintains clinicaltrials.gov listings in compliance with BCM Institutional Review Board.
  • Prepare submission documents for internal and external regulatory bodies.
  • Manage all aspects of active research studies including screening patients, enrolling and consenting patients and ensuring compliance to research protocols.
  • Oversee and coordinate the collection and entry of research data: collects patient information, processes documents and enters information into databases.
  • Communicate effectively and work well independently.
  • Manage tasks and serve as nutrition expert to Research Coordinator I and Research Assistants.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • Five years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field.
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in a related field is optional
  • Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the American Dietetic Association and a Licensed Dietitian by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR).
