Summary
We are looking for a Senior Research Coordinator to join our growing Phase 1 oncology research program. This position will manage and oversee the daily operations of Phase 1 clinical trials. This includes screening patients for eligibility, coordinating study participant visits, ongoing trial coordination, supporting monitor visits, data collection and entry and overall compliance with federal, institutional, and department guidelines and standard operating procedures.
Job Duties
Coordinate Phase 1 clinical research trials
- Coordinate complex Phase 1 clinical research studies.
- Interview, screen, and recruit patients for clinical studies; explain process and procedures to potential participants; engage with research participants; collect, process, and ship biological specimens.
- Maintain research records.
- Collaborate with regulatory and finance teams to ensure successful clinical trial operations.
Phase 1 Research Trial management/coordination
- Develop study specific tools for trial maintenance.
- Screen potential research participants for eligibility.
- Coordinating research participant visits and study schedules.
- Data collection and entry.
- Biological specimen collection, processing, and shipping.
- Communicate and collaborate with outside sponsors and with BCM teams and associated affiliate institutions.
- Collaborate with cancer center finance and regulatory teams.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- Five years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCRP or equivalent research certification
- Phase 1 research experience
- Phlebotomy experience and certification
