Job Purpose

Manages and directs the Department's research Pre and Post award processing and provides financial and operations guidance.

Job Duties

• Manages all pre- and post- award processes including: Consults with faculty regarding funding opportunities, eligibility, and application requirements and coordinates/completes all components of subsequent grant submissions to ensure accurate and timely submission by the due date.
• Negotiates industry-sponsored contracts including clinical trials agreements, sponsored research agreements, consultation agreements, materials transfer agreements and facilitates review and/or preparation of related incoming and outgoing contracts.
• Functions as the primary contact with Sponsored Programs, Grants and Contracts, Department Administrator, and faculty for all grant related issues.
• Balances and reconciles each account providing to PIs and other designated authorities, detailed monthly financial reconciliations and balance sheets. Collects, analyzes, and prepares financial and budgetary data including operational budgets, forecasting salary and overall budget projections regarding debt to asset ratios over each fiscal period across each revenue source (grants, private donations, endowments, etc.)
• Processes and tracks all accounts payables, establishing vendor accounts, and ensures adherence to institutional PO processes in all transactions.
• Assists with reimbursements for Principal Investigator and designated staff.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Required: Bachelor's degree.
  • Required: Four years of relevant experience.
