Summary
The Senior Practice Manager oversees the daily operations of the clinic, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while driving operational efficiency and financial performance. This role partners closely with the physician Medical Director, leadership team, and support departments to optimize patient experience, access, and quality outcomes. The position is responsible for managing clinic operations, staff performance, and key performance metrics to support organizational goals. The Senior Practice Manager also plays a critical role in fostering a collaborative, high-performing clinical environment.

The position requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The Senior Practice Manager must be highly collaborative, patient-focused, and data-driven, with the ability to influence outcomes across clinical and administrative teams. This role plays a key part in driving patient satisfaction, operational efficiency, and overall clinic performance.

Job Duties
- Clinic Operations Management:
Oversees daily clinic operations, including patient flow, scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective care delivery. - Financial & Performance Management:
Monitors key performance indicators such as no-show rates, clinic utilization, provider productivity, and patient satisfaction; partners with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance. - Regulatory Compliance & Quality:
Ensures compliance with all regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standards and maintains high standards of clinical quality and patient safety. - Staff Leadership & Development:
Supervises, mentors, and evaluates clinic staff; leads recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts; supports ongoing professional development and performance management. - Patient Experience Oversight:
Drives patient experience initiatives and ensures timely resolution of patient concerns, supporting a culture of service excellence. - Provider Support & Onboarding:
Coordinates onboarding and ramp-up planning for new providers and supports ongoing provider operations.
Workflow & Systems Management:
Manages clinic workflows including patient intake, documentation, coding, and charge capture; ensures effective use of systems such as EPIC.
Communication & Collaboration:
Implements communication strategies and fosters collaboration across providers, staff, and leadership to support clinic goals.
Operational Continuity:
Ensures continuity of operations during downtime, inclement weather, or other unexpected events.
Supports ambulatory clinic operations with a focus on patient access, throughput, and experience
Partners with physician leadership to align clinical and operational priorities
Oversees coordination of care and ensures appropriate coverage during provider transitions or absences
Manages clinic-specific workflows and staffing models to meet patient demand
Collaborates with business development and leadership on growth initiatives and service expansion
Supports reporting and performance tracking aligned with departmental and organizational goals
Ensures effective communication between clinical, operational, and administrative teams. - Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, and Accounting or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- Three years of relevant experience in a related medical setting as a supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
