The Senior Plumber will be responsible to install, maintain and repair sanitation units, water and gas supply lines, heating systems and associated equipment in a commercial setting. The candidate will also be required to design and inspect plumbing systems, perform diagnostics, and ensure the comply with state and local codes. As a plumber, you should be able to work independently and solve problems quickly and efficiently. To excel in this position you should have strong technical skills, be a master at troubleshooting and enjoy dealing with people.

Job Duties

  • Read and interpret blueprints to assess or plan plumbing installations and layouts.
  • Install, maintain and repair plumbing systems and fixtures.
  • Cut, weld, and assemble pipes, tubes, fittings and fixtures.
  • Inspect and test plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance.
  • Handle customer queries and responding to work orders.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Prepare cost estimates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.
  • Certification/Licenses/Registration Required: Current Journeyman Plumber License issued by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a plumber.
  • Journeyman state license.
  • Physical dexterity and the ability to use a ladder.
  • Good working knowledge of water supply, heating and ventilation systems.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and using plumbing tools.

  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and patience.
