Title: Senior Maintenance Mechanic
Summary
The Maintenance Manager in Center for Comparative Centers is responsible for repairs, construction, and communication with vendors. The ideal applicant is also responsible for supervisory duties including direction and oversight of work, not excluding discipline. The Senior Maintenance Mechanic will have experience in high temperature washers, sterilizers, animal care, and filtration systems. A successful applicant with possess computer skills, have supervisor experience, and works well with others.
Job Duties
- Check lights weekly in ABBR and TMF
- Ensures machine maintenance is being done on all 23 machines weekly
- Changes filters monthly in animal watering systems
- Follows up on all construction project
- The point of contact for facilities, for any building problems
- Performs PM inspections on 7 machines, twice a year
- Handles all minor rooms repairs in Neuro, ABBR, TMF and Taub
- Works with vendors for our animal transfer stations to perform yearly certifications
- Assists on machine installation or removal on all capital projects
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Four years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of machine function and able to perform minor repairs
- Welding, electrical, plant, plumbing, and maintenance experience
- Maintenance supervisory experience
- Three to five years of animal facility experience
