Summary
The Senior Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the installation, repair, and ongoing maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role involves conducting routine inspections, executing preventative maintenance tasks, and supporting general facility upkeep as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, a hands-on approach to problem-solving, and exceptional attention to detail. Job Duties
- Assembles, installs and maintains mechanical systems, machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoots equipment and performing routine preventative maintenance.
- Reading, interpreting and following instructions and operation manuals and schematics
- Completes assigned work orders and communicating with the departments throughout the process
- Cleans, repairs and installs equipment and parts as needed
- Operates a variety of hand and power tools
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Performs general maintenance work on buildings as assigned
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of Trade School or Associate’s Degree program.
- Knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability.
- Physical dexterity/ ability to lift heavy objects and use a ladder.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
