The Office of Information Technology, Clinical Technology is offering a highly motivated and competent professional the opportunity to serve as a Project Manager and Business Relationship Manager with primary responsibilities for providing IT leadership and PM in support of Clinical Technology projects and ongoing stakeholder management activities. Role will report directly to the Executive Director of Clinical Technology and function as part of the Clinical Technology Leadership Team.

This is a multi-faceted role that will engage directly with ambulatory operations on business development efforts to understand project scope, determine IT level of engagement needed and coordinate/manage at the level necessary. "Business Development" efforts include mostly clinic moves, standing up new service lines, supporting joint venture activity, etc. In addition, Ambulatory Operations drives a portfolio of projects and have varied level of IT participation. This individual may serve in various roles relative to Ambulatory Operations projects, but will work to manage that portfolio as a business relationship manager as well.

As part of the Clinical Technology Leadership Team, this individual will provide feedback to Senior Managers and Executive Director feedback relative to service delivery, customer satisfaction and upcoming demand. This position will participate in select process improvement opportunities as needed.

Job Duties

Project level responsibilities include:

  • Participate in customer led meetings regarding business development efforts, ensuring IT Demands are entered for each and fully described as to summary, business case, scope, resource estimations, etc.
  • Initiate and conduct meetings with the IT Team and lead engagement and fully screen demands.
  • Run multiple projects likely ranging from small to medium sized project in support of business development initiatives.
  • Communicate status on behalf of IT to ambulatory operations as well as to IT leadership as needed.
  • Escalate and manage issues Business Relationship activities on an as needed basis.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with business clients.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with IT service owners.
  • Track client satisfaction with services provided.
  • Manage relationship with Research Mission as it applies to Epic EHR and/or Epic EHR Integration. This may include running certain projects and/or representing demands to IT.  
  • Occasionally, there are process improvement opportunities in IT.  Based on skill set, this individual may be asked to participate or lead in such efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.  Four years of relevant experience may substitute for degree requirement. 
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, prefer Master's qualified individual (MBA or MHA).
  • Experience working with or within Information Systems team in support of Clinical Technology in an Ambulatory setting.
  • Project Management experience.
  • PM Certification is a plus, but not required depending on experience.
  • Epic EHR experience in an IT capacity not absolutely required but strongly preferred.
