The Senior Financial Analyst serves the Clinical Research Finance Team as a lead subject matter expert in clinical research finance administration. This position is responsible for financial analysis and reporting, portfolio management, reconciliation, and supports the development, and the training, of clinical research finance to departments across the College.

Job Duties

  • Financial Analysis: (35%)
    • Creates budgets in the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS).
    • Prepares financial variation and executive reports. 
    • Participates in special reporting projects.
  • Portfolio Management: (35%)
    • Develops and updates financial forecasting models. 
    • Reconciles Budget Reviews vs. Fee Structure. 
    • Identifies/assists with management of sponsor and portfolio standards.
    • Monitors financial accounts for compliance with budgeted amounts.
    • Gathers and organizes data and assists Financial Analyst with budget preparation. 
  • Training: (20%) 
    • Assists the Senior Manager with identifying skills and/or knowledge gaps.
    • Assists in the development, preparation, and execution of training. 
  • Business Operations: (10%)
    • Assists with the development of standard operating procedures. 
    • Vendor and research pricing. 
    • Communicates with PI and department leadership. 
    • Leads the work of Financial Analyst on the team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Experience in clinical research and/or clinical research finance.
