Summary
This position will support the financial operations of the Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Global Health Network including the global Foundation partners. The position will support with accounting, grants, finance, budget and project management processes. The position will provide technical expertise and build technical capacity in financial and business operations areas including - audits, budgets, and monthly reporting through detailed review and support to network site finance teams.
Job Duties
- Build technical capacity in areas of accounting, HR, procurement, accounting software, and inventory management through training, mentorship, providing continuous feedback for quality improvement.
- Review Foundation policies and procedures to ensure they are best practice and compliant with various regulatory bodies and funders.
- Provide training and mentorship to the finance and administration departments at Foundations including, but not limited to, workflow assessments, department restructuring, and conflict resolution.
- Support Executive Directors, Program Directors and Finance Directors with large donor funded project implementation including financial aspects, donor reporting and audits.
- Design and enhance report templates for varying needs including budget templates and monthly financial reporting templates.
- Prepare detailed and summarized reports from raw data provided by the Foundations for various purposes including data analysis, reconciliation and consolidation.
- Provide technical expertise on accounting entries and treatment for routine transactions including payroll, receivables and fixed assets and also non-routine including intercompany transactions, indirect costs, subaward management and audit adjustments.
- Collaborate with Foundation leadership to create and implement feasible solutions to operational, financial, administrative processes, and other issues according to site-specific infrastructure and capacity.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
