Job Purpose

The goal of Baylor College of Medicine Ventures (BCM Ventures), Baylor's commercialization team, is two-fold: To maximize the impact of the innovative enterprise at the College by supporting the development and commercialization of the Baylor's intellectual property assets into products and services that benefit the public, and, to foster the development of a culture of entrepreneurship where commercialization is viewed as a natural extension of the College's  mission.

This position will perform varied and complex administrative and office management duties supporting the Vice President and Chief Ventures Officer.

Job Duties
  • Handles the day-to-day operations of BCM Ventures Leadership, including the purchase of equipment, supplies and management of sub leased space.
  • Provides Office Management at two locations including supply ordering, maintenance and mail collection.
  • Responsible for organizing and coordinating special events, including catering. 
  • Provides routine administrative assistance to the executive, such as: scheduling and tracking documents for signature.
  • Manages scheduling for conference rooms.
  • Prepares expense reports for travel reimbursements and Fast Card expenditures.
  • Processes invoices and requisitions for payment in SAP.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Required: High School diploma or GED.
  • Required: Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
