Summary
Responsible for using data to design, create, and maintain analyses and reports and tools in support of business operations. Performs advanced data analysis utilizing appropriate analytics methodologies and fosters data-driven decision-making by providing valuable consultative analytics support. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the existing enterprise data warehousing system; participates in the ongoing development and support of the College's data reporting system; responsible for applying upper-level analytical and technical expertise to interact with functional teams, understand requirements, and deliver intelligent, pragmatic designs.
This position may be eligible to work hybrid within the Greater Houston, TX area with occasional onsite as needed.
Job Duties
- Develops dashboards and data visualizations.
- Interprets complex data, analyzes results using statistical techniques and provides ongoing reports in support of strategic goals.
- Develops predictive models and descriptive statistics.
- Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Provides support in identification, integration, and preparation of large volumes of data.
- Understands functional areas' business requirements and translate into technical specifications and user-friendly reports and dashboards.
- Prepares high quality documentation that follows established guidelines.
- Recommends improvement to and changes in operations to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree. Four years of relevant experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Department Specific Requirements
- Microsoft Power BI and SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field and two years will also be considered.
- SAP S/4 HANA.
- Experience with research administration or financial accounting.
