The Surgery Department at the Baylor College of Medicine Jewish Institute for Research is seeking a skilled Senior Coordinator, Program Management. This role involves assisting in managing our graduate and undergraduate medical education programs, manage ACGME and LCME compliance for its programs, managing on-boarding, evaluations, research pay-slot allocations, rotation schedules and T32 grant responsibilities and leading Program development.  This role will also develop educational curriculum for its programs and assist in managing recruitment for its programs in compliance with GME and UME. 


This position oversees the general surgery research residency track and all T32 grant responsibilities and relevant undergraduate medical program's in alignment to LCME compliance. This position works with a team of educational coordinators with oversight by Director for Education.  We work with our Vice Chair for Education, UME Director, T32 Director and Associate Program Directors for its programs along with the Departmental Chair and Administrator.


This position may offer the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement.

Job Duties

  • Develops and schedules curriculum for its educational programs.
  • Manages programs with director and associate directors.  
  • Communicates daily with trainees and is tasked with management of its programs.
  • Develops and maintains evaluation assessment of the program as needed.  
  • Develops educational programs with innovation in today's learning environment for advancement in educational training.
  • Manages pre- and post-award activities of the T32 award, including annual reports, screening and selection of fellows and competitive renewals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant bachelor's degree may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft Word (Excel, Word, and Access).
  • Experience with Concur.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience with grants/contracts.
