Summary

The Physician Assistant program is seeking an advanced program support as the senior administrator to the Program Director.  Position responsibilities include assisting with day to day operations of the program, monitor and audit program activities to ensure compliance with accreditation standards, serve as liaison for the program with other institutional representatives, and provide senior administrative support to the Program Director.  In addition, this position will communicate directly with other faculty, staff, and institutional representatives on matters of significant importance. 

 

Job Duties

  • Assists with day-to-day operations of the PA program.
  • Monitors and audits program activities and communications to ensure compliance with ARC-PA accreditation standards, FERPA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Creates, monitors, and tracks documentation of student recruitment and admissions processes, and training and educational activities to include evaluation data collection and submission.
  • Develops procedures to meet needs of the educational program, maintains and updates program policy and procedures manuals, and trains program staff.
  • Serves as a liaison for the program with UME, GME, GSBS, the Registrar, Student Affairs, internal departments and external agencies, and learners.
  • Communicates information on matters of significant importance to institutional, SHP and PA program leadership, faculty, staff, and students.
  • Remains current and adherent to procedures to fulfill federal requirements and applicable program, school, and institutional policies including confidentiality of student records.
  • Works with program director to establish and autonomously execute procedures for timely completion of institutional administrative activities including data reporting, letters of recommendation, reporting of student performance to the Registrar, and various other duties.
  • Provides administrative support for the program director, including maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and updating educational materials.
  • Composes and edits correspondence, meeting minutes, and other documents in a timely manner including information and presentations of significant importance for the Program Director for institutional and national reporting.
  • Assists with grade or evaluation collection and submission.
  • Supports the Program Director in management of teaching responsibilities including course and rotation correspondence, course scheduling, instructional materials.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; four years of relevant work experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Two years of relevant experience in an academic setting working with faculty, learners, and senior administrators.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and mail merge.
  • Advanced knowledge of virtual platforms to include Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience with enterprise resource platforms, such as SAP.
  • Knowledge of educational learning platforms, such as Blackboard, strongly preferred.
