Summary

The CME Coordinator is responsible for supporting Baylor College of Medicine's (BCM) role as an accredited provider including supporting the daily operations to ensure quality service is provided. There is daily contact with stakeholders such as physician faculty, physician learners, and other healthcare professional participants of BCM continuing education.

Provides administrative support for an education program, including undergraduate, graduate, residency, fellowship, clerkship, continuing medical education, or other College-affiliated education programs.

Job Duties
  • Supports CME in its role as an accredited provider.
  • Project manages the compliance components for certified activities to meet deadlines.
  • Supports and liaises with education partners to submit and complete application.
  • Submits and tracks educational grant applications.
  • Supports the development and execution of educational activities (conferences, workshops, and internet enduring activities, and webinars) including registration, preparing documents, tracking attendees, etc.
  • Reviews required documentation for completeness, formats, and payments, when due.
  • Updates content, forms and attachments for public consumption.
  • Technical Assistance, Gathers and analyzes data including preparing reports using PARS, Excel, and/or MS Word, and Baylor's CME database.
  • Assists in creating educational materials including MS Word and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Creates and reports results of evaluations, pre-/post-tests, and polls using print and electronic formats.

  • Creates and/or maintains datasets.
  • Serves as documentation historian including filing and tracking documents, managing the shared drive, etc.
  • Provides general administrative support: answers phones, makes copies, scans documents, schedules and sets up conferences, meetings and webinars.
  • Tracks and Monitors expenses.
  • Develops and maintains a tracking system for invoices, fees, and payments.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education Required: High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience Required: Four years of relevant experience.
  • Certification/Licenses/Registration: None Required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in an academic medical center preferred. 
  • Strong commitment to balancing service with regulatory functions. 
  • Exemplary customer service approach in communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Skilled problem solver, with ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and heavy workloads.  Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; rigorous attention to detail.

Other
  • Superior computer skills with competency in MS Office Suite, web-based applications, and constituent relationship management applications. 
  • Experience with an accreditation or credentialing organization preferred.
  • Experience working with an accredited CME program preferred.
